I was in Lansing working with the food network on a show called food court wars. My title was production assistant and the teamwork made the dream work. I got there on a Friday night and load in was Saturday. From Saturday to Friday we worked like a rocket to get the final episode shot and wrapped. The twelve + hour days were more than work to me, they were fun! When your doing what you love the amount of time you spend doing that task becomes second nature and you start to forget how long you've been working like a rocket and jnstead look at the amount of fun you've been having. Some days I even elected to stay an hour after they told me I was wrapped. Wrapped means you can't work any longer because then they'd have to pay you overtime. My main reason was because I wanted to be there for as long as I could. Something as fun as assisting a production can look easy but its not. There was a lot of hardwork involved but I would encourage everyone to if they like watching TV shows to try to work on one and see all of the work that it entails and the amount of discredit that is involved. In conclusion I wasn't there to get brownie points or credit from anyone I was there to do my job and work like a rocket because that's who I am and what I do I live up to my creed. I went there with a plan to build my own empire and that's what I did!
My empire is now being read by you and all those pipe dreams I once had of being a pa have been accomplished and I saw the good bad and ugly days. I even saw the better days and so I'm here to tell you hardwork is what you make it, working like a rocket is what you have to do to succeed in life and take the good and bad with the ugly and make a better day out of it all. It's like life you have to do it, you can't just quit because there is no finish line for quitters just a line that was unfinished. What is a life unfinished, it's a life that forgot to forgive itself for not finishing what it started and commiting to its agreement. My agreement with myself is to build my own empire and I'm doing just that. Build your own empire!
