Finally, I’ve found the little recognized secret (s) of success
Dale Carnegie once published a little tiny booklet called the little recognized secret of success, and in that book is THE SECRET. As he put secret in BIG uppercase letters for us to realize the depth of this unknown secret. He says it almost fifty times in this book. I now know what it is and no it’s not what you think it is. It’s bigger than that. When we find out this secret, we jump to our feet and immediately go running with enthusiasm towards what we should’ve been doing, days ago, weeks ago, or if your like me, maybe even years ago. For me it was writing this paragraph. Let’s backtrack and go back to the last thing I wrote on my blog, rocketjrjr.com .
Now don’t study it because that isn’t the secret and that’s not what I wanted to highlight, what I did want you to see was the date I don’t know when it was but I will say it’s been a while since I wrote on the blog something this Big. I’m only bringing up the fact that I hit a road block. I just stood there and kept thinking what should I write next? I wasn’t moving, but most of all I wasn’t enthused. Because I wasn’t writing. I left the blog to be a pizza ? delivery guy. Shame on me. More or less I had given up on my self, my instinct, my fight, I had given up on rocket. Until today! This morning I woke up in a bickering mood of course slightly thrown off from staying up late, being a house maid doing chores at one thirty in the morning. Watering the plants putting clothes in the washing mashing. (I’d like to say I have a green thumb). Furthermore, I was enthused as one could be while filling up a five gallon bucket for twenty mins just so I could add a secret nutrient to the water and make the plants bloom crazily. ( floralicious + )..... Anyway, as I added the super concentrated formula I realized I was having fun, so I watered every plant in the house. I was learning the secret. I took care of some dirty laundry and went to bed. When I awoke this morning I got up with Bakiya, my girlfriend as she was running late for school, that sort of threw me off until I went into the bathroom to clear my head. That’s when I looked down at the books to choose from; Che ..... a book about the legend #CheGuevara, a book of poems about black pride by don L. lee ! A somewhat in tact think and grow rich with peace of mind book by Napoleon Hill a Merriam - Webster’s vocabulary builder and inside that somewhat in tact book with peace of mind were the two small booklets called how to save time and get better results in conferences by Dale Carnegie and the little recognized SECRET of success. I chose to read the book about enthusiasm. This little book took you for a ride. You were with him when he left the farm for the city and when he walked those 7 miles for a sale and didn’t get anything in return. You were with him when he started to finally make enough ?to buy a bigger hat. He mailed a letter to his family saying he’s making more than his dad has made in a whole month in a week. He would then go on to describe in detail other historic recollections where enthusiasm won the hearts of many. The secret of it all is that it was impossible. It was IMPOSSIBLE, but he didn’t know that. You see. And since he didn’t know that, he ran towards all of those jobs like a rocket. no lags all leads . No i in rocket. He set out on a mission to find the secret to life and he did. And he did it with enthusiasm. He found out he wasn’t an actor like he dreamt of being, but he was a salesman and a leader. In conclusion, even if your enthusiasm outweighs your intellect, you’re still going somewhere. And your going somewhere ? fast.
Thank you ??.
Dale Carnegie speaks!
It couldn’t be done, but I didn’t know!
These very statement can keep millions from being sidetracked.
One of the chief reasons for success in life is the ability to maintain a daily interest in one’s work, to have a chronic enthusiasm; to regard each day as important.
“Emotional drive”is what counts!
Dale Carnegie talked about hearing a famous psychologist, in discussing the Army aptitude tests, remark that I.Q. tests have one important shortcoming. They fail to measure “emotional drive.” According to i.q. tests, a person with a low score is usually rated as fit for only menial jobs, while a high score is considered practically a guarantee of success. You and I know how misleading that is. I have seen people with low i.q.’s suddenly set on fire by a new idea or a new line of work. It gives them “emotional drive” which sends them on to great success. And I have seen people with high I.Q.’s fail miserably.
“Enthusiasm rates first”
“Enthusiasm does the trick”
“Enthusiasm worked miracles for me.”
When Mark Twain was asked the reason for his success, he replied: “I was born excited.”
And I quote:
When the late William Lyon Phelps one of the most popular teachers at Yale, told me almost the same thing. “With me, teaching is more than an art or an occupation. It is a passion. I love to teach as a painter loves to paint, as a singer loves to sing, as a poet loves to write. Before I get out of my bed in the morning I think with ardent delight of my first group of students.
He told the story about a summer evening where he saw two star-gazing merchants who had set up telescopes at 42nd Street, opposite the Public Library in New York. One charged ten cents and the other who had a slightly larger telescope, charged a quarter.
The one who charged a quarter was getting four times as many customers as the one who charged only ten cents. To be sure, you got a slightly better view with the twenty-five cent telescope—but the main reason for the financial success of the higher priced telescope was the personality of this merchant. That person radiated enthusiasm and talked about looking at the moon with such excitement, that one would if necessary, have passed up dinner in or to see it. The one who charged ten cent merely took orders and said nothing. He said “this experience to me was an astronomical example of the vale of enthusiasm.”

Fuck A career
I don't agree with the world. They say I need to get a career. What is a career. I haven't been venting much this year, but I think if I'm consistent enough, I can make my own career, just from being rocket. How I feel about a career is up and down, I sometimes think I'm on the right track when it comes to finding a career. I take pictures for a living, but that is not my career. I deliver pizzas for a few dollars an hour and some tips, but I don't want that as a full time job/career. I teach students in my community about their worth at the same time I substitute them, but I don't want that to be my career. In essence, I have much to offer, but what do they have to offer for me. I must stay focused on a career they say and not settle for a minimum leveled job. I must aim high, but at the same time I don't want to be caught dead in a career I don't want. My options are many and my dreams are too good to be true. Sigh. What does a jack of all trades do for a living. I worked here, I worked there. I even worked there. Yes there too. I've humbled myself. I've looked at my own worth, I'm worth more than that, and no I don't believe I am too good for most of these careers, but I do believe I can be my own boss.
Yet, the point I don't understand is how to get to that silver lining. Some will say they work hard in their field and they are happy with that career, but at times I debate on whether I should work hard in a field I'm not the strongest in. I'd much rather work less for more results, but in the end I've come up short. I have to remain positive and do what I love. So let's see what I love, I love to teach people about cameras??. I love to teach people about rocket. I love to write music, and I love to make my own media. So maybe I should be a teacher in music or movies... No that sounds too boring of a career. You see this is where I live in my head when I go on indeed and look at jobs and careers and internships. This is how I feel when I take a substitute job for the day. This is how I feel when I deliver 12 pizzas at Pizza Hut. This is how I feel when I write that song that no one ever hears except the few that click the link I post daily on my Facebook real jonzy. But this isn't how I feel when I write about rocket work on rocket fix rocket and create more stories for you to read about rocket. So I can't lose sight of my career, it's not yet an actual career, but I believe one day it will be. My career is being rocket. And my four year bachelors degree didn't help mold that. That was innate. My English professor wasn't the one that taught me how to break down a word, or build a better vocabulary, that was a book I read. And my dean didn't teach me how to write a rhyme called go towards what you really need, that was my dream for myself. And lastly, my video 2 and senior sequence professor didn't show me a damn thing about myself, except my lateness and my greatness, because in the end I did what I said I would do. I said I would be known worldwide for something and that something speaks volumes. In fact, you're reading that something right now. That something is rocketjrjr.com. I understand it's not a career, and yes I understand it's not a job, but you know what though, it's something I love to do so why not try to make it my career. I don't agree with the world, they say I need to get a career, but what in the world is a career; ...... If you're not happy.
It's just a full time job at Pizza Hut. It's just a substitute position at the school you went to when you were a kid. It's just a job you needed to get to show you have a career and show your making it in life. But at what point would you have quit if you weren't happy. But this, this blog, it's more than a career. This is fun. And this is rocket.
Do what you've loved to do since 12
This section is dedicated to the beautiful Bakiya Taylor laying next to me. Happy Valentines Day from Rocket. We met and started dating over a year ago and ever since I laid eyes on you, I saw myself. I saw nights listening to J.Cole, Chance the Rapper and your favorite Beyonce cd. I remember when I walked out of Meijer with your number..... I felt like a million bucks.
I guess what I'm trying to say is.... I know I don't always check your snapchat.... and I know I always annoy you when I correct you, but I always have, and I always will love you.
